Hello Anthropic.

I’ve put together a sample of my portfolio that I feel is relevant for you all. Before my video career, I received a B.A. in philosophy and a B.S. in psychology, focusing on cognitive and behavioral psychology and analytic philosophy. After graduating with a 4.0 GPA, I researched post-religious morality through a Nietzschean lens as a Fulbright scholar in Berlin, Germany.

Upon returning to the United States, I produced and co-directed a feature-length documentary chronicling my two year bicycle journey with my brother through subcultures of the American South. By juxtaposing the philosophies and daily lives of fringe communities on both the left and the right, the film explores the common ground of Americans who aim to minimize their relationship with the global economy. It had an international festival run and won numerous awards including Best American Feature Documentary and Journalist Jury Award.

After the film’s release, I moved to the Bay Area and became a producer/director for hire. I’ve worked with dozens of tech companies to portray company culture, leadership vision, and to unveil product development. This is a launch video I produced, directed, and edited for MindsDB in 2024.

Journalism is dear to my heart, and I’ve worked with The SF Chronicle, KQED, National Geographic TV, and The SF Standard. I directed, produced, and edited this short film, a part of a Lawrence Ferlinghetti tribute, which won a California Journalism Award.

Partnering with market research firms, I have profiled hundred of users to bring market segmentations to life. Clients include PlayStation, Meta, Wrangler, SC Johnson, and many others. This is a video I co-directed and edited for PlayStation in 2023.

Working with artists to communicate their vision to a wider audience is one of my favorite ways to use video. Here is a short film I produced, directed, shot, and edited for the SF Arts Commission. The piece profiles five artists whose work explored their community’s experience of COVID-19.

I love working with organizations that want to have fun with their brand and expand their storyworld beyond their core product. With former fintech executive Esther Stearns and her partner Jan, I produced and directed 18 videos to tell the story of boom and bust in California.

Thank you for watching. I hope you’ve connected with some of this, and that we can continue this conversation soon.
